Privacy and Control

What's Visible

On your public resume page, visitors can see:

  • All resume sections you've added
  • Your profile photo
  • Contact information you've included

What's Hidden

We never show:

  • Your email address used to sign up
  • Your account settings
  • Private resumes
  • Resume drafts or edits in progress

Removing Public Access

To make your resume private again:

  1. Click the Share button
  2. Select Private visibility
  3. Click Save Changes

Your link will immediately stop working for others.

Troubleshooting

"Username is taken"

Try:

  • Adding your profession: john-doe-engineer
  • Including numbers: john-doe-2024
  • Using underscores: john_m_doe

Link doesn't work

Make sure:

  • Visibility is set to Public
  • You've clicked Save Changes
  • You're using the correct URL format

PDF looks different from preview

This is normal. The PDF uses a print-optimized format. If something looks wrong:

  • Check your resume in the editor
  • Make sure all sections are saved
  • Try exporting again
